Waynoka Watersports Club


The Waynoka WaterSports Club meets every month on the 2nd Saturday of the month right after the WPOA board meeting (around 11:30 am) in the Lodge. Special meetings are called throughout the year for Club events.  Also find us on FACEBOOK at Waynoka WaterSports.

Goals and Purposes of the Club


Promote water skiing and boating safety in our community.


Provide more opportunities for children and adults in the community to participate in organized recreational and competitive water skiing activities.


Teach kids and adults how to ski, wakeboard, kneeboard, and slalom ski.


Meet and develop better relationships between skiers, water sports groups and boaters on the lake.


Introduce our ski club and community to other lake communities and organized competitions.


Host a water ski show before the Labor Day fireworks.


Provide a first-class lake in our community to conduct organized recreational and competitive water sports activities and events.


Promote Club and lake activities for the betterment of the community and Lake Waynoka.

The Waynoka WaterSports club has NO annual dues to become a member.

History of the Waynoka WaterSports Club
The Club was established in the spring of 2006 after approval from the WPOA Board of Trustees.  Founding members included Steve Johnson, Teri Wright, Tom & Doris Kitchen, Ryan Pollard, Steve Meese, Scott & Bobbi Steele, Chris Wilks, Frank Tamanko and Vernon Taylor.


 The Club is dedicated to giving back to the community.  The Club has sponsored a kid's Sardinia soccer team, donated money to help build the Waynoka Chapel, contributed funding & labor for the children's playground equipment upgrade at the Pool and Rec Center, remodeled the boat gas dock at the Marina, added upgrades to the boat ramp dock at the Marina, contributed to the American Cancer Society, gave Christmas gifts to the Georgetown Veterans Home every year, and have helped with and contributed funds to the needy children's Christmas fund here at the Lake. 



Our annual Poker Run is the 1st Saturday of August. Pre-registration is at Waynoka Day, and to register the day of, will be at the beach at 10 am.  The event runs Noon to 6 pm. The winners will be announced at the Waynoka Lounge during the after party.

Labor Day Beach Party and Ski Show is the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
Activities, food, and music start at 4 pm. Ski Show starts at 7 pm. Fireworks start at dark.
