Waynoka Watersports ClubThe major purpose of the Watersports Club is to promote water skiing and boating safety in our community. The Club meets the first Sunday of the month in March, June, September, and December, at 12:00 noon in the Lodge. Special meetings are called throughout the year for Club events.
Goals and Purposes of the Club
Club membership dues are $10/year for single persons and $20/year for families, and are payable annually in March.
Annual Club events include Waynoka Day, Boat Poker Run, Labor Day Ski Show & Beach Party, New Years Eve Party at the Lodge. The Club is dedicated to giving back to the community. The Club sponsors a kid's Sardinia soccer team every year, donated money to help build the Waynoka Chapel, contributed funding & labor for the children's playground equipment upgrade at Little Turtle recreation area, remodeled the boat gas dock at the Marina, added upgrades to the boat ramp dock at the Marina, has contributed to the American Cancer Society, gave Christmas gifts to the Georgetown Veterans Home the last few years, and have helped with and contributed funds to the needy children's Christmas fund here at the Lake.
The Club was established in the spring of 2006 after approval from the WPOA Board of Trustees. Founding members included Steve Johnson, Teri Wright, Tom & Doris Kitchen, Ryan Pollard, Steve Meese, Scott & Bobbi Steele, Chris Wilks, Frank Tamanko and Vernon Taylor. Event/s
Saturday, July 28th is our annual Poker Run. Registration at the beach starts at 11 am. It starts at 12pm till 6pm. Winners will be announced at 7:30 pm. And music and food end at 10 pm at the beach.
Come out Saturday, September 1st to enjoy our Labor Day Beach Party and Ski Show. Activities, food, and music start at 4 pm. Ski Show starts at 7 pm. And fireworks start when its dark. Music till 10 pm.
